Install apps & flash firmware

Installing on an Android phone? Use the nightly APK below. Installing on an ESP board? Choose matching firmware from the catalog; board flashing requires desktop Chrome or Edge and a USB data cable.

ANDROID / Nightly build

Wigglefish comic UI nightly

Experimental build — may still contain bugs. October 4, 2026 nightly with comic paint palettes, Lumi, and radar animation restart fixes. Radar sweep verified on a Samsung phone with Paint motion enabled.

Install Android nightly / Download APK

Android 8.0+ · ~19 MB debug-signed sideload APK · internal version 0.1.0 / build 5. Installs separately as com.wigglefish.android.lumitest, leaving the regular app untouched. This is not a stable release or a version upgrade to 0.4.0.

  1. Open this page on your Android phone and tap the APK button above. On a computer, download it and transfer the APK to your phone.
  2. Open the downloaded APK. If Android asks, allow Install unknown apps for the browser or file manager you used, then return to the installer and confirm Install. You can turn that permission off afterward.
  3. Open Wigglefish. For the animated radar, enable Paint > Motion; Android's reduced-motion setting is still respected.

The browser downloads the APK; Android performs installation only after your confirmation. This does not flash a board, open a USB port, or require USB debugging. iPhones cannot install Android APKs.

Passive survey is the default. Optional active lab tools may transmit or capture traffic; use them only in an isolated, authorized environment.

Weather Atlas is ready. The complete current build for M5Stack CoreS3 includes firmware plus artwork, audio, and web assets. Select Weather Atlas for hardware requirements, installation, and first-boot setup. Installing replaces the current firmware; erasing also clears saved credentials and settings.

Before you connect: Do not guess between similar-looking board models. Authorized use only. Flash firmware only on hardware you own or are explicitly permitted to install on. wigglefish is metadata-only / passive observation in authorized environments — no joining networks, deauth, or injection. Third-party CYD picks are draft / not wired placeholders: they open an upstream installer and do not activate the local Install button. For the Android companion, use the Wigglefish nightly APK installer above. The Android app also includes optional active lab tools; keep those restricted to an isolated, authorized environment.

    Check the hardware details

Compare the screen and chip notes with your device. “Not hardware-verified” means we have not tested this exact board. If anything differs, stop and check the project instructions.

  2. 3

    Check what the status means

Ready means this site has an install file for this device. Install not ready here means you cannot install through this page yet; a separate release download may still be available.

    Get ready to connect

Installing needs a computer, Chrome or Edge, and a USB data cable. The safety checklist appears before the site talks to your board.

What do “chip,” “firmware,” and “factory image” mean?
Chip
The small processor inside the board. Firmware must be built for the right chip.
Firmware
The software that runs on the board.
Factory image
A complete first-install file. It may erase the board’s existing software and saved settings.

What is included in this catalog?

The published wigglefish firmware is for passive Wi-Fi and BLE observation in authorized environments. Its Android companion nightly APK installs separately through Android, not ESP Web Tools. The Android app includes optional active lab tools that may transmit or capture traffic; use them only in an isolated, authorized environment.

Some CYD entries belong to other projects. They are clearly marked and open that project’s own page; this site does not install them.

Browser installation requires desktop Chrome or Edge and a secure page connection. No connection is made until you choose a board and start the install flow.

I need help connecting or recovering my board
    1. Use desktop Chrome or Edge and a USB cable that supports data, not charging only.
    2. Back up anything you need. A factory image may erase the board’s current software and saved settings.
    3. Connect only after the selected board and its notes match your device. If asked, follow the board maker’s instructions to enter boot mode.

If the connection fails, unplug the board, check the cable and exact model, then try again. Never use a file made for a different chip or board. For recovery steps, open the selected project’s documentation.

    Open upstream firmware?

This draft entry is not wired to the local installer. Review the upstream project's board support and instructions before flashing.
